All beginner lessons include instruction on handling, grooming, tacking up your horse, riding and untacking. Our school horses and ponies are well mannered, safe and properly schooled so students can get the most out of their ride.

From day to day, and week to week, a variety of Certified Coaches are available to provide instruction for basic equitation, hunter/jumper training, and dressage. Call Heather to discuss your riding skill and desires as she will work with you to help fulfill your goals.

Once a month we hold a "Dressage Day" where riders come and ride a dressage test and then receive a "mini lesson" from a Certified Coach. Tests are ridden in a 20' x 60' Dressage arena within our larger riding ring. Each test is scheduled for 15 minutes and includes the lesson. Additional minutes can be added at 15 minute intervals up to a maximum of 45 minutes. Our current Dressage Days are being conducted with Dale Irwin, a Level 3 Equine Canada Coach.

Riding is meant to be fun at Woodside. We make sure that our riders feel safe and confident so that having fun can come naturally.
